FPS Driver CPC Training
from £40 a day!
WITH ALL FPS DRIVER CPC training now
exclusively operated and managed by an
in-house training team, FPS has unveiled
its full set of modular day courses, with
distributors able to buy dedicated training
from as little as £40 per day per driver!
The cost includes breaktime tea, coffee and
biscuits, as well as lunch, Certificate of
Attendance and accreditation on the DSA
website!
Said FPS Driver CPC Co-ordinator Keith
Ashton: "We believe it's now a case of
distributors asking themselves `how can we
afford not to be using FPS for Driver CPC
training'! We have worked hard to
minimise the costs because we know what
a vital factor finance is within the
industry."
The revised classroom based courses are
offered in a series of mix and match
modules that enable the distributor to
select the best options for its drivers. The
FPS CPC courses remain the only industry
specific offerings for tanker drivers.
Each half-day module comprises three
individual `lessons', so distributors can
choose two modules to build a complete
training day.
In the case of large distributors who have
suitable office space and facilities, FPS will
stage the courses on the distributor's
premises, and will charge a flat-rate fee per
training day. The company can then select
up to 20 participating drivers the
maximum allowed under DSA guidelines.
For smaller distributors with fewer drivers
and facilities, FPS is planning to stage a
series of regional training days to which
companies can send their employees.
Again the maximum number of
participants will be limited to 20 per day
and FPS will decide on the modules to be
presented.
"We aim to provide a high standard of very
relevant training at these regional courses,
and because we are the industry
representative body, we will be doing so at
the keenest rates we can, so smaller
distributors can be assured of quality
training at competitive rates," says Keith.
In addition to the pick-and-mix modules,
FPS has re-vamped its popular Practical
Driver Training Day for one-to-one training
with driver and assessor in the cab. This
gives the distributor a valuable insight into
the performance of its drivers during
normal deliveries.
FPS will have full information available at
FPS EXPO, so why not take advantage and
see how FPS can meet your Driver CPC
training needs both professionally and
inexpensively? Alternatively, phone Keith

The unique content of FPS CPC Driver training addresses all the usual driving tasks plus
issues only encountered by heating oil drivers. Above left is a garden before a delivery
was wrongly made and above right is part of the consequence... the whole area had to be
dug up to rid it of spilt oil, and even part of the house had to be excavated because it had
leaked under it. The cost of the clear-up was well into six figures.
