At FMA Systems we specialise in
distribution terminal automation projects
right from the product receipt through to
the printed "bill of lading" documents at the
exit gate. From our start-up we were
terminal automation system suppliers. As
time has gone by we have evolved to
provide economic solutions to customers
demands.
Our DepotVisor II platform monitors and
controls depot activities including
vehicle/pedestrian access; product receipt;
product storage; product loading; load
documentation/reporting; stocks
reconciliation; inventory management; with
an ERP interface. At the touch of a
keyboard button the operator can see what
is happening, how much stock is available,
and who is loading what and where.
On the services supply aspect, we can
provide the complete turnkey solution. This
can include consultancy, front-end studies,
project management, system design,
drawings and documentation, assembly,
integration and testing, installation
supervision, commissioning, engineer and
operator training and on-going
maintenance and support.
We work with an experienced group of
equipment suppliers who can offer
complete bottom loading skids or
individual meters, valves, filters, loading
arms, earthing/overspill units and electronic
presets. For the tank farm, we can offer
level and temperature gauges and a high
level warning package.

FPS is the trade association for the oil
distribution industry in the UK and Republic
of Ireland, working to support the industry
and its members. FPS's sphere of interests
is wide ranging and includes road transport
and the carriage of dangerous goods, oil
storage and oil tank installations,
environmental protection, energy efficiency,
fuel poverty elimination, fuel quality,
Customs and Excise issues, health &
safety, industry standards and best
practice, civil contingencies planning and
security of supply.
The FPS has had a busy year lobbying
government on various industry issues
including calling for the scrapping of the
fuel duty increase, working alongside the
government and consumer groups like
Citizens Advice Bureau, ACRE (Action for
Communities in Rural England) and
Consumer Action on initiatives to get
consumers to buy oil early for winter, and
establishing a best practice guide to the
pros and cons of buying groups. The FPS
ensured the oil distribution industry's voice
was heard.
Driver CPC
FPS is now delivering a substantially
updated Driver CPC Training Course
consisting of 8 mix-and-match course
modules, any 2 of which can be chosen for
drivers to complete one 7 hour training day.
All classroom based courses remain
industry specific for tanker drivers with
enhanced quality control. A completely re-
vamped Practical Driver Training Day is
also available for one-on-one training in the
cab.
FPS no longer outsources this training
which is now exclusively operated by its
own in-house training team. This has
enabled FPS to change its fee structure
and offer a flat-rate fee per training day
with significant reductions in training costs
for distributors.
Come and talk to us and see how we can
meet your Driver CPC training needs both
professionally and inexpensively.
Training and Technical Assistance
Our Technical Manager Tony Brown will be
on hand during the exhibition to talk to you
about our new CPC Training Courses and
any other technical queries you may have.
FPS offers a health, safety, security and
environmental (HSSE) service to both
members and non-members. To learn more
about this service come and talk to us and
see for yourself how the FPS and the
services we offer can benefit your
company.
