The Harold Johnson Law Enforcement Scholarship
Up to $5,000 / Up to 7 one-time awards
For students who plan to pursue a career in police work, corrections or other criminal justice fields.
Eligibility Requirements
· A demonstrated desire and a plan to pursue a career in police work, corrections or other criminal justice
fields. This scholarship is not available to law school students.
· Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
· Current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college, university or police academy, as a
full-time student
· United States citizen
Ralph Hale and Martha L. Ruppert Educational Scholarship
Up to $5,000 / Up to 30 one-time awards
For "Late-bloomers" with academic promise who have not yet reached their potential.
Eligibility Requirements
· Applicant is a "late bloomer" who demonstrates academic promise and continuous grade point average improvement
during high school or college
· Applicant must demonstrate community involvement
· Maximum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County, San Francisco County
or Santa Clara County
· Planning to enroll or enrolled in a two-or four-year college or vocational school as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)
Sand Hill Scholars Scholarship
Up to $10,000 paid over four years / Up to 2 renewable awards
For graduates of the Ravenswood City School District who have overcome hardships to remain in school and who show
motivation and leadership.
Eligibility Requirements
· Eighth-grade graduate of the Ravenswood City School District (copy of junior high diploma or graduation verification
from the RCSD must accompany the application)
· Current graduating senior attending a high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County
· Planning to enroll in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)
The Abby Sobrato Scholarship
Up to $5,000 / Up to 10 one-time awards
For graduating high school seniors of Latino College Preparatory Academy in San José, CA who plan to pursue
postsecondary education.
