Up to $5,000 / Up to 10 one-time awards
For students showing academic excellence, extracurricular activities and a commitment to the community.
Eligibility Requirements
· Demonstrated community involvement over a period of several years
· Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Current graduating high school senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or
Santa Clara County
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen
Curry Award for Girls and Young Women
$1,000 / Up to 10 one-time awards
For young women who have undergone unusual hardships to remain in school.
Eligibility Requirements
· Young woman aged 16 to 26
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Current resident of San Mateo County
· Current graduating high school senior, graduate or have a GED certificate
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)

Silicon Valley Community Foundation staff administer the application, selection
and award process for the scholarship programs listed below.
Bobette Bibo Gugliotta Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 / Up to 2 one-time awards
For students majoring in the creative writing field and who have demonstrated creative writing ability.
Eligibility Requirements
· Demonstrated passion for creative writing (two writing samples are required with student's application)
· Current graduating senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or
Santa Clara County
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)
Bright Futures Scholarship
Up to $10,000 / Up to 20 one-time awards
By invitation, for eligible students who applied to a Silicon Valley Community Foundation Managed Scholarship, and can
demonstrate academic excellence and unmet need.
Eligibility Requirements
· Applied for, but was not awarded, a community foundation managed scholarship and/or was awarded
a scholarship and can demonstrate an unmet need after all other forms of college financial aid are secured
· Demonstrated academic promise with a 3.3 to 3.8 cumulative grade point average
· Planning to enroll or enrolled in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)

How to Apply to SVCF's Community Foundation Managed Scholarships
Step 1. Visit siliconvalleycf.org/scholarships and click on Community Foundation Managed Scholarship Funds.
Step 2: Review the description and requirement of each scholarship to determine your eligibility.
Step 3. Click on the applySVCF button to complete your student profile and / or begin your application.
