The Odette Moren Scholarship
Up to $10,000 / Up to 8 one-time awards
For residents of East Palo Alto who show academic excellence and demonstrated financial hardship.
Eligibility Requirements
· Current resident of East Palo Alto or have permanently resided in East Palo Alto while attending high school
· Minimum cumulative grade point average:
° 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, if a current graduating high school senior
° 2.5, if a current college student
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizen (eligible non-citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)
Peninsula Regent Charitable Foundation Scholarship
Up to $5,000 / Up to 12 one-time awards
For Peninsula Regent Employees and / or their dependents who plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college,
university or vocational school.
Eligibility Requirements
· Current employee of the Peninsula Regent for at least 90 days as of the application deadline, or dependents of an
employee who has worked at the Peninsula Regent for at least 90 days as of the application deadline.
· Preference will be given to applicants with strong educational motivation, perseverance, involvement outside the
classroom and personal characteristics such as honesty and good judgment.
· The selection committee will also strongly consider applicants who have dropped out of school for reasons beyond
their control or have undergone unusual hardships to remain in school.
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· United States citizen or legal resident
Hazel Reed Baumeister Scholarship
Up to $5,000 / Up to 15 one-time awards
For students showing academic excellence, extracurricular activities and a commitment to the community.
Eligibility Requirements
· Demonstrated community involvement over a period of several years
· Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Graduating high school senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or
Santa Clara County
· Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a four-year college or university as a full-time student
· United States citizen
Marie Calderilla Scholarship
Up to $20,000 paid over four years / Up to 20
one-time and renewable awards
For female students planning on attending a college within the San Mateo County Community College District (Caņada
College, College of San Mateo and Skyline Community College.)
Eligibility Requirements
· Female student, pursuing first undergraduate degree or certificate
· Graduating high school senior or re-entry student planning to attend a college in the San Mateo County Community
College District (Caņada College, San Mateo Community College and Skyline Community College)
· Demonstrated financial hardship
· Serious about improving her life through education
· United States citizen or eligible non-citizens (eligible citizens include United States legal residents and
AB 540 students)
