Community Roll Call, Under a Texas Flag
One hundred years in the making, we will celebrate the Centennial Birthday of the historical Montague County Court House on October 12, 2013. That Saturday afternoon is set aside for a Montague County sized birthday party designed to pull people of all ages, sizes, and communities right into the center of the action! The Montague County Historical Commission is seeking an honoree from each current and /or historic county community to bring a Texas flag, pole, and flag stand to take part in a colorful Community Roll Call Ceremony. Recognizing places like Adora City, Duxbury, and Uz and the persons who continue the meaningful traditions of life in those same locations, is a fitting memorial to the past. Recognition also provides a sustaining link to the future, as we remember the change one century has wrought and we move into the adventure of the next 100 years. Plan to take part. Bellevue VFD Craft Show
The Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Arts and Craft Show on September 28th at the Bellevue Community Center/Fire Hall. The fun will start at 9:00 a.m. and go until 4:00 p.m. There will be numerous vendors and the Fire Department will have a concession stand and a 50/50 raffle. Come out, do a little shopping, and help to support your local Volunteer Fire Department.
