Page 58 The Dispatch/Maryland Coast Dispatch October 25, 2013 Students In The News Worcester Preparatory School’s Student Government Association sponsored a “Wear Your Pink” casual day for a $1 donation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds will be donated to the local chapter of Women Supporting Women. Tull recently announced Lucas Baier, Sara Freund, Claire Stickler and Jamie Welch have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Over 80 Stephen Decatur High School students were recognized at the 11th Annual Presidential Service Award ceremony on Oct. 9. The recipients logged over 16,000 hours of community service. Logging the most service hours for Stephen Decatur High School with over 400 was junior Wyatt Bishop. Bishop is pictured with his mother, Amy Bishop, Superintendent of Worcester County Public Schools Dr. Jerry Wilson and Chief Operations Officer Louis Taylor. He was recognized during the 11th Annual SDHS Presidential Service Award ceremony.
