North Texas High School Rodeo
Montague County rodeo teams from Nocona, Forestburg, Goldburg and Bowie are proud to announce they will be hosting the North Texas High School Rodeo again this year. There will be two days of competition, Saturday, April 27th at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m. Events will be Bareback, Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc, Steer Undecorating, Ribbon Roping, Goat Tying, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Barrels, Chute Dogging, Poles and Bulls. The rodeo will be held at the Dave Wiley Memorial Arena at the Montague County Cowboy Church located at 1600 W. Hwy. 455 in Montague, Texas. Prairie Valley 4-H Fiesta Dinner
The Prairie Valley 4-H Club will be hosting their annual Fiesta Dinner this Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the Nocona Community Center. Advance tickets are available from any of the club members, at the Nocona Chamber of Commerce, or contact Natalie Sloan, club manager at 940-366-4712. Advance tickets are $8 for adults and children over 10 yrs., $5 for children ages 2-10 yrs., and children under 2 are free. Tickets at the door will be $10 and $7 and to-go plates will be available. Please come help support our club fundraiser and help send the kids to camp!

They started out with 60 worms and four pounds of soil at the beginning of the semester and ended the semester with 170 worms and eight pounds of soil. Their closest competition had 77 worms.

Bowie Tennis Opens Year
The Bowie Tennis Association spring league sign-ups are now underway. Play will start April 22nd, so you need to sign up immediately. All tennis players are welcome.
