The foundation of education is based
on knowledge and experience. As
design professionals, we carry a unique
responsibility to create environments that
elevate the learning experience. LPA has
been involved in the planning and design of
nearly 100 educational spaces at El Camino
College, which serve thousands of students
every day. These spaces nurture the learning
experience as they motivate and inspire
students to discover their passions and
define their careers.

Mathematical sciences, business and three
health sciences programs have come
together under the dynamic roof of the Math,
Business and Allied Health (MBAH) Building.
Each one of these programs worked directly
with LPA's integrated design team to create
their ideal instructional environment. Filled
with energy, enthusiasm and state-of-the-
art amenities, the interior's materials are
a perfect mixture of durability and warmth
that accommodate the continuous traffic,
yet allow for quiet and comfortable teaching
opportunities. The corridors are a blend
of colors and textures providing identity,
sophistication and liveliness that reflect the
users all hours of the day.

LPA's integrated design team developed
a series of strategies focused on efficient
building components that reduce overall
material use, minimize equipment demands
and provide equal opportunity for natural
sunlight and views. The architecture
seamlessly blends into the existing campus
context, making the MBAH Building feel as
though it's always belonged there. Enjoy.
