For the led assessment horses were presented ‘stood up’ to Matthias Werner after which they were walked and trotted in hand and then turned loose in the arena to show off their full movement. The highest led scorer was Marj Radford with Sonique and she also did very well under saddle. Ridden horses were shown under saddle and ridden in the correct paces for their training level Some other horses that did well in other categories include Kassie McKerras with Excelsior Masterpiece in the Trakenher Sporthorses. Rebecca Tsouris also scored well in the ridden section in the Trakenher Sporthorses riding Rebellion Santus. Michelle James of Penny Hill Park commented, “We had three high scoring horses entered in the AWHA category in different age groups, these horses had the highest scores in WA behind Marj Radford’s mare Sonique. PHP Sahara (Sir Donnerhall/Anamour) was entered in filly foal and scored 82.85% (Currently = 2nd in Australia). PHP Bellisio (Bellisimo M/Royal Hit)was entered in the Best Female 2 or 3 years and also scored 82.85% ( Currently = 1st in Australia). PHP Bellagio (Bellisimo M/ Weltruhm) owned by Libby Plunkett was entered in the best Gelding 2 or 3 years and scored 82.14% (Currently 1st in Australia).
