Your Tri-Cities Cancer Center is continually identifying
new and effective methods of treatment and services,
allowing people in need to receive world-class care right
here in the Tri-Cities. Recently, we became a Network
Member of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). SCCA
unites doctors from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research
Center, University of Washington Medicine and Seattle
Children's. Each of these organizations are powerhouses
of cancer research in their own right. Together they are
increasing survival rates and making new treatments
available through Network Member sites like ours.
Through our affiliation, along with fellow SCCA Network
Member Columbia Basin Hematology & Oncology
(CBHO), we are able to offer clinical trials not before
seen in our region. Our affiliation is a prime example
of how we are continually working to offer world-class
treatment right here in the Tri-Cities, keeping patients
close to home should they need radiation oncology.
Our SCCA Network Membership affords our patients
access to new therapies through SCCA's clinical trials.
For patients who require highly specialized care,
this relationship also means that your health care is
coordinated between doctors at Tri-Cities Cancer
Center and SCCA. As a Tri-Cities Cancer Center
patient, you have more choices and your oncologist
may consult with SCCA oncologists about your
diagnosis and treatment at any time. And, if you and
your doctors decide that a clinical trial is right for
you, you may participate in the trial at the Tri-Cities
Cancer Center. No need to travel to Seattle to receive
treatment typically offered only in a university setting.

"We have a long history
of taking a collaborative
approach to cancer care
and joining Seattle Cancer
Care Alliance's Network
is a natural extension
of this philosophy. We
truly believe that this
will empower us to offer
greater access to care while providing world-
class cancer treatment for all. Patients in need are
the real beneficiaries as we already have a strong
working relationship with our campus partner,
CBHO. With both of our organizations being
SCCA affiliates, we now offer a comprehensive
suite of cancer services under one roof that is
second to none in the region.
