This group is for ovarian cancer patients and survivors to meet, talk, find friends and
have fun. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Meetings are led by Tri-Cities Cancer Center Chaplain, Margaret Ley, and are held
in the Fireside Room at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. Join this group for support,
laughter and hope. For more information contact Margaret Ley at 737-3400.
New Group Forming!
Staff of the Tri-Cities Cancer Center recently job shadowed other
staff members from different departments. This was done
to create improved patient experiences as our employees
now possess a broader knowledge of the various
treatment options and wellness offerings we have
available to all members of our community. After
shadowing Support Services Assistant, Diane Ohl,
Heidi Russell wrote the poem on the adjoining page.
The poem relates a patient's experience as they utilize our Resource Center. The intent
of the Resource Center is to assist patients in looking and feeling the best possible
during their cancer journey.
Heidi has held her current position with the Tri-Cities Cancer Center for ten years,
serving as a Radiation Therapist. In her role, Heidi administers treatment as planned
by Radiation Dosimetrists and prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. She works
closely with patients under her care, providing treatment and caring, all while
protecting their dignity.
Please call (509) 737-3432 for additional
information on the Resource Center.
