They graciously opened their homes, shuttled Larry and I to and from meetings and events, invited us for meals, proudly toured us around their cities and surroundings, and shared their pride in their local chapter’s success. We have made new friends, and reacquainted with those from the past. We have truly witnessed the “AO Family worldwide”! We are now in the midst of Elul – the month preceding Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This month marks a period of reflection, noted by the sound of the Shofar at morning services, for clarifying life's goals, and a time for realizing one’s purpose in life. It is the time when a new school year begins, and should be a time when we step back and look at ourselves critically and honestly with the intention of improving. Lofty goals should be made for the end of summer and the beginning a New Year! May we all strive in our chapters to help enrich our members’ lives through professional excellence, good deeds, community service and fraternal activities. Wishing you the best in the New Year.
