February 2014
www.shreve-lib.org
     In February, as we celebrate
the 1930s of SML's 90-year
history, we are pleased to
support special programming
surrounding Black History Month.
Our featured branches, Wallette
and Mooretown, both have a
rich history of serving Caddo's
African American communities.
Historical information
about both branches will be
spotlighted on our website
and Facebook, as well as a full
feature in this newsletter.
     In addition to 2014 marking
the 90th year of the library
system, our Wallette branch will
be celebrating the 80th year
of service to their community,
which began with the opening of
the Lakeside branch in 1933.
