FLIGHT FOR LIFE COLORADO
In 2013, Flight For Life Colorado transported 3,763 criti cally
ill and injured pati ents to hospitals for immediate care.
1,005 were transported by the Newborn/Young Child team.
Flight For Life Colorado turned 40 in style, with the Rocky
Mountain Ransom and the 40th Anniversary Concert!
Celebrati on rang from the hills and the concert stage, as the
Rocky Mountain Ransom and 40th Anniversary Concert raised
money for a very special anniversary gift a Eurocopter AS
350B3E helicopter.
Especially suited to high-alti tude rescues and long-distance
fl ights over Colorado's mountainous terrain, the B3E can rescue
pati ents at higher alti tudes and in warmer weather; take off
more safely at high alti tudes; keep a full medical crew onboard
in hot weather; allow a loved one to travel with the pati ent; keep
crew and pati ent safer; and fl y farther and faster to the hospital.
THE KBCO AND FLIGHT FOR LIFE COLORADO
ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
Presented by AEG Live, the concert brought together three
notable groups of talented musicians The Dunwells, Amos
Lee and Sheryl Crow at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfi eld.
KBCO's Brett Saunders hosted the evening.
Before Sheryl Crow's entrance for the fi nal act, the Flight For
Life Colorado crew took the stage to introduce the FFL video
and thank those present for their support.
Sheryl Crow wished Flight For Life Colorado the very best,
as she concluded the evening amidst fl ashing lights from the
stage and dancing in the aisles.
THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANSOM
A special thanks goes out to 97.3 KBCO fans and the courageous
souls who spent a windy, overcast day on the mountain as
"Ransomees" for the Rocky Mountain Ransom. Stranded, they
spent the day on their cell phones, earning their "ransom" by
raising money for the new Eurocopter AS 350B3E.
The new Eurocopter AS 350B3E nears completi on in Texas. Its fi rst take off is
scheduled for December 2013.

FLIGHT FOR LIFE COLORADO LICENSE PLATES
Hundreds of donors supported Flight For Life Colorado's
license plate program. The orange plates "with heart" are
popping up in many communiti es around Colorado.
(L) FFL's new Avalanche Beacon can pinpoint buried skiers across a 150 meter
span, making it one of the more signifi cant technological tools ever deployed in
Colorado by avalanche search-and-rescue teams. This new technology enables a
quicker response by Flight For Life helicopters, and saves hours of on-the-ground
searching by rescuers plodding through dangerous terrain. (R) On display for the
fi rst ti me was the brand new Terra 3 Criti cal Care Ground Transport ambulance.
