Contributions of all sizes help to determine the funding
Sequoia Hospital Foundation is able to provide for hospital
equipment and programs, but the ties forged over time often
result in the greatest impact. The Sequoia Hospital Foundation's
relationship with the Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert
Foundation spans nearly two decades and has resulted in gifts
of more than $680,000. Gifts dramatically increased when
the Gellert Foundation's generosity inspired others to give.
Board members of the Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert
Foundation, including Kathy Cresci's husband Andy, have
voted to approve funding that has touched Sequoia Hospital's
Laboratory, Birth Center, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Radiation
Oncology, cardiac programs, and nursing students, among
others. The Gellert board's decision in 2010 to grant $300,000
to the new Sequoia Hospital campaign was a milestone action
that assures their generosity will impact every member of
our community who enters Sequoia's new Patient Pavilion
for generations to come.

Building impactful relationships.
In sharing her own story, Kathy Cresci inspired others to give from the
heart. In doing so, she left an unseen mark on all those who received care
in the areas of the hospital she and those she inspired supported.
