running the inaugural Stoke 10k in aid of The Douglas
Macmillan hospice. Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides
care and support to patients and their families facing a
life limiting illness in North Staffordshire. The Hospice
is now in its 40th Anniversary year and on average
cares for aver 2,500 local people every year either
in the Hospice or within their own homes. It costs
approximately £10.2 million a year to run the Hospice
which relies heavily on the generous donations of local supporters to reach this amount and
in turn maintains the high quality care and services.
