Part of the great
adventure that is
travelling is that you get
to taste the traditional
cuisine each country you
visit has to offer. It's part
of that country's charm and
character, what differentiates it from the
next and what makes it unique. Here are
a few dishes you could get to eat if you
qualify for the 2017 Overseas Incentive
Destination. The rules to qualify for this
once-in-a-lifetime trip can be found on
the Enterprise Portal.
Dumplings (Jio zi)
This dish is one of the most recognised when
it comes to our Asian friends. A dumpling is a
small piece of dough wrapped around a filling.
The dough can be made of anything from
flower to bread or potatoes.
It can also be prepared in a variety of ways
including baking, frying and boiling.
Peking Roasted Duck (Bijng koy)
Seen as one of China's national dishes and originally
from Beijing, Peking Roasted Duck has been eaten
since the imperial era. The dish consists of thin, crisp
skin and it is most authentically served as such in front
of diners by the cook. You can eat it with scallion,
cucumber and sweet bean sauce. This filling will
be rolled up in pancakes, and it can include other
ingredients like pickled radish and sauces like hoisin
sauce.
