Panelists will discuss examples of successful program design strategies that boost their participation by addressing barriers these students often face. overcoming Barriers to faculty engagement in study abroad Max Savishinsky (CIEE), Robin Craggs (Occidental College), Gina Lopardo (Seattle University) Participants will gain insight into barriers to faculty-led study abroad programs with a focus on faculty engagement issues, and the institutional policies and practices that influence faculty involvement, perspectives, and experiences. The session will highlight research, best practices and audience feedback on how to effect greater faculty participation in study abroad programs and internationalization efforts.
