WAQHA Winter B Series Ingrid Stanway on Heza Special Roc is hot on the heels of crowd favourites Erwin van Vliet and Readies Lil Whizzel (far right). Reining The first of the Western Australian Quarter Horse Association Winter B Series held at Brookleigh on 16th of June incorporated reining classes, which were much appreciated by Reining WA members. With country music setting the scene for the rider’s ‘runs’ the audience really got into the spirit of the show with plenty of encouragement for the competitors as they did their patterns. Numbers of entries were good with several new members having a go in the Green As Grass class. For more information on reining check out www. reiningwa.com.au or join the Facebook page www. facebook.com/groups/reiningwa. Top Right: Alicia Lewis and Hand Grenade were winners in the Youth reining class. Centre: Kevin Harrison took his new prospect purchased from the east coast, Me Pink Wimp, out on his first show, winning the Novice Horse class. Below Right: Roxanne Johnson was one of the new riders trying out the Green As Grass reining class.
