Berlin Lions Club members made Christmas a nicer memory for 13 area
families last month when they purchased shopping carts of food and distrib-
uted it to those families in need. The Lions, who were assisted by some of
their own children, are shown here at the Berlin Sav A Lot. The food and gifts
for the families were purchased with donations from the club's charity ac-
count. The Sav A Lot store, the Beary Best Day Care Center and several pri-
vate individuals also donated. On the same day, the Berlin Lions also com-
pleted their annual Christmas bike giveaway program. This year the club,
with help from several local donors, was able to provide nine bicycles to local
children.
