On October 26 and 27, the AO Emerging Leaders Program was conducted at
the UT Health School of Dentistry. Over 40 alumni, young alumni, residents,
and students representing 14 chapters participated in the two-day program
that emphasized embracing personal leadership, recognizing emotional
intelligence, and how to become more involved in AO and its programs.
International President Marcy Schwartzman presented Houston frater June
Sadowsky with a Certificate of Appreciation for her amazing efforts to
restart the Houston alumni and student chapters. June was instrumental in
helping AO to organize the ELP meeting and hosted a hospitality event for
the attendees.
Special thanks to the Dallas Alumni Chapter for providing donor support. The
next AO ELP meetings will take place in the 2014 spring and fall. More details
to come.
