ONSITE INFORMATION REALTORS Think, Live & Go Green! The National Association of REALTORS® is working with vendors, hotels and convention centers to provide a more health-conscious and green environment for your meetings. • Recycling: NAR conference tote bags are made from at least 20% recycled material and can be recycled after use. NAR badge holders are made from 70% recycled material. Look for various recycling containers throughout the convention center. • Moscone Center: The Moscone Center has long set the standard for U.S. convention centers in diverting material from the waste stream. Beginning in 1998 with diversion of high volume materials from the exhibit floor and lobby areas, the program today targets materials from all areas and sources. Nearly two million pounds are diverted annually, with nearly 13% of that total as donations to local area non-profits. Be sure to use the recycling bins provided in lobbies. These three-color bin stations in the lower lobbies accept recyclable plastic bottles, soda cans, and paper and compostable food scraps. SMG caterer, SAVOR, is the exclusive catering company at the Moscone Center. SAVOR's food composting program captures all organic material from food service operations. SAVOR also donates unused or excess food, ranging from fresh produce to boxed lunches to San Francisco nonprofits. The Expo Grand Opening will use compostable cups. The Moscone Center’s three hydration stations make it easy to fill up even the largest water bottles quickly and easily. The refill stations, located in the North and South Hall lower lobbies and in the 120’s meeting room corridor, use motion sensor technology to refill bottles. Exhibitors: Look for the “green” icon to identify exhibiting companies who are joining NAR in our efforts to promote a green Conference & Expo. Visit the Green Pavilion for environmental and energy-saving ideas to help your customers buy and sell. Conference Programs: This program book was printed by a Sustainable Forestry Initiative certified printer on recycled stock. Coming Up Green: NAR will continue to work closely with convention centers, hotels, vendors and the meetings industry to encourage green practices and to increase conservation and recycling at all future meetings. ® Governance Meetings There is no registration fee for members to attend NAR governance meetings. A governance meeting handout can be obtained at the NAR Registration area, located in Hall C, Exhibit Level of the Moscone Center.
