The KATA Story
KATA was founded by Nitzan Kimchi and Dror Tishler who started
sewing bags together in the 80's out of a tiny 2x2 meter basement. In
1992 as demand for their products increased they decided to establish
KATA. In a very short period of time KATA evolved from a small R&D
laboratory to a multinational company that develops, manufactures
and markets video and photo products in over a hundred countries
around the world and is considered a leader of innovation and
design in its field. Since 2005 KATA is part of the VITEC Group Plc.

expanded and flourished alongside its sister companies: Manfrotto, Gitzo,
