The Hamilton/South Caddo Resource Center held a reunion
for all the computer students who have taken classes at the branch.
"Soupin' It Up" (November 14) was the theme and a variety of soups
were served, along with desserts.
Deandre Zackery, from the
S
hreveport Federal Credit Union, offered an informative program
featuring banking and saving, and authors
Minister Gregory White,
You Can Have What You Say If You Stop Saying What You Have,
and
Bonita Bandaries, A Promise Kept, were special guests.
Over 500 students have been accommodated in the many
class offerings at the branch. The branch manager, Catherine Beaird,
wishes to thank the generous sponsors,
Carol Jeter, Cat Daddy's,
Sci-Port, Shreveport Federal Credit Union, SmashBurgers,
and
What-A-Burger for the donations and prizes, as well as the

2012 Deck the Stacks
The Shreve Memorial Library Hamilton/South Caddo's patrons
are at it again. . .decorating the Reading Room with holiday crafts made
from recycled and repurposed materials. Featured in the pictures below
are the "houses" which festoon a winter wonderland "village" and the
lively characters who reside there. Look closely and see bits and pieces
of things which would ordinarily end up in a land fill. The christmas
tree boasts an appetizing aray of decoratively repurposed dried fruits
and spices. Stop by and enjoy an environmental-friendly holiday display
throughout December! Thanks to
Chicks with Sticks, Girl Scout
Troop # 1120, H/SC Baby and Toddlers, H/SC Teens, and the
Adult and Children patrons of H/SC during "Christmas in July," and the
November and December Workshops/Decorating Days. (And thanks
to Paula Prieshoff for organizing the activities!)
