Weatherproof
come rain or shine
We understand the weather can be unpredictable and nothing spoils a camping trip more than being wet. Mackenzie™ Cabin tents have been engineered to stand up to the elements, providing outstanding performance to keep you and your family dry.
Taped seams
For increased weather resistance
For extra protection against the rain, all Coleman® Mackenzie™ Cabin tents feature taped seams. Needle holes can compromise the fabric’s waterproof qualities and allow water to enter the tent. Taping involves thermally sealing a waterproof material over the seams in order to prevent any water from seeping into the tent.
Rain protection peak
Provides protection from the rain on entry and exit
All Coleman® Mackenzie™ Cabin tents feature innovative rain protection peaks over the doorways. In heavy rain and wind, these protection peaks prevent water from entering the tent whilst the doors are open, as well as helping to keep you dry during entry and exit.
Rainskirts and inverted zippers
Prevent rain from entering the tent
During prolonged wet periods, the ground can become saturated with water. All Coleman® Mackenzie™ Cabin tents feature large rainskirts, providing additional protection to ensure that no water can enter the tent. They also feature inverted zippers and double rain gussets to prevent rain entering through the door.
Fully sewn-in, welded groundsheet
Keeps rain and bugs out
All Coleman® Mackenzie™ Cabin tents feature a fully integrated, sewn-in groundsheet made from thick, durable and waterproof polyethylene material. All seams are heat-welded to eliminate the presence of needle holes. As well as keeping the elements at bay, this ensures a clean, dry and bug-free camping experience.
