The Mind's Eye, Concrete Flower, and Bash and the Bullets were all teen rock bands from Nocona, Texas, who were actively performing gigs in the mid-1960's and early-1970's. A half-century later, because of their friendship, their continued interest in music, and their love of hometown Nocona, some members from each of those bands have combined their talents to give back to the community they've all called home. A live concert, featuring some favorite tunes from the era when rock 'n roll was in its heyday will commence Saturday, June 3rd, at the Veranda Inn Event Center at 7:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $20 or $25 at the door, with all proceeds going to Phase 2 of the Peta Nocona playground project. Prior to the concert, the VFW is providing an on-site BBQ meal at 5:30 p.m. for donations which will also benefit the park. For more information or to obtain tickets, call 940 825-1044.
