Tuesday Morning Registered Storytimes Must Register IN PERSON at the Library. Registration for September 10th - October 22nd. Session begins on September 3rd Pre-School Storytime Ages 3-5, Tuesdays 10:30 a.m. Children benefit from attending storytime with the same group of peers each week. Books, songs, puppets, finger plays, coloring, and flannel board stories make this a great time for all! Activities that help build preliteracy skills are incorporated and tips for developing preliteracy are shared. Toddler Storytime Tuesdays 10:30a.m.or 11:15a.m. Caregivers participate with their children. Books, songs, puppets, finger plays, and flannel board stories make this a great time for all! Activities for developing pre-literacy skills are modeled and shared. Itsy Bitsy Baby Storytime 3rd Thursdays 10:30 a.m. Babies, birth to two years old, are invited to attend. Parents will sit on the floor or a chair with their babies in their laps. Baby songs, nursery rhymes, finger plays, stretching exercises, hugs and kisses, and some books will be shared. Pajama Storytime Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. Hear the perfect story, dance to “Rock and Roll Body Parts,” and more! Attend in pajamas! Fun Friday Walk-in Storytime Fridays 10:30 a.m. Stories, songs, activities and more! For children of all ages and their caregivers. A great way for grandparents to share special time with the grandchildren! Share Books with the Welcome Waggers! 2nd Saturdays of the month, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. The Welcome Waggers therapy dogs are coming back for another fun-filled Saturday morning of sharing books! Prereaders are welcome to show dogs pictures in favorite book. Beginning readers get to practice reading without the pressure of getting all the words right. Teens Grades 6-12 (At Least 11) Programs sponsored by the Scott Fisher Foundation and run with assistance from Teen Advisors. All Programs are Free! Second Saturday Events At 2:00 on these Saturdays events planned by the library’s Teen Advisors are held at 2:00. Some upcoming events include unlimited popcorn and favorite Youtube videos, life size Chutes and Ladders, and Día des los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Gaming 3rd Saturdays of the month 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. A great place to meet up with friends and make new ones. Play Battlestar Galactica, 7 Wonders, Rune Age, Forbidden Island, Apples to Apples, Scrabble, Just Dance for Kinect and more! Relax at the drawing table. Snacks served! Teen Advisor Meetings 1st Thursdays 6-8 p.m. Teen Advisors meet to plan library
