Please click here for the television interview. rene arav cliff litvak receives the denver rotarian of the year award and inducted into the pierre Fauchaud academy of dentistry Cliff Litvak, who has been a proud member of the University Hills Rotary Club for many years, received the highest honor given by any local Rotary Club, the Rotarian of the Year award for 2013. Cliff was very touched by this honor, as he truly believes in the ideals behind Rotary: to foster high ethical standards in business, to best serve society and to advance understanding and good will between parties. In addition, Cliff was recently inducted into the Pierre Fauchaud Academy, an international dental honor society whose nomination and membership are based on the practitioner’s high degree of professionalism, integrity and ethics. cliFF litvak gary scharoff awarded 2013 d. austin sniffen medal of honor Gary Scharoff, AO International Secretary, recently received this special award from the Ninth District Dental Association, a component of the New York State Dental Association. This much deserved award is due to Gary’s dedicated hours as a volunteer and for his roles as a Ninth District board member, committee chair, and the district’s website and technology expert. His parents, AO Past International President Donald and Marilyn Scharoff, were in attendance. gary scharoFF irvin silverstein recognized by ada for volunteer service In September, the ADA Committee on International Programs and Development awarded the Certificate for International Volunteer Service to dentists and dental students who spent at least 14 days performing dental services in a foreign country. Recipients were nominated by their state or local dental society, federal dental services or dental school. Please click here for the full article. irvin silverstein ao baltimore chapter awards inaugural scholarship to Umd dental student In 2011, the AO Baltimore Chapter presented a $100K check to the University of Maryland to be earmarked for an endowed scholarship fund. All rising junior students at the University of Maryland Dental School are eligible to apply for the scholarship that is based on academic achievement and a commitment to providing dental services to the local community.
