2013.....A new year to bring new adventures!
I want to encourage you to look forward. To look for new beginnings,
new relationships and new opportunties. Paul tells us in Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have
already attained, or am already perfect; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which
Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethen, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things
which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
These scriptures can mean different things to different people but what it means to me is to
strive for, press on and to gain ground in living the life God has called me. God has a plan for us
all and to attain that we must keep our eyes on the prize.
What is your goal for 2013? Whatever that may be I pray that God shows you the path, brings
you to open doors and causes you to walk through them.
It is a process, don't allow disappointments, let downs, discouragements or anything else keep
you from the plan God has for you. God sometimes allows difficult situations for our growth,
though we rather not go through them, they do serve a purpose so when we reach the other
side--it is well worth it. Again, keep your eyes on the prize.
Jesus is my prize and when I keep my focus on Him life is just better. I am thankful for the
opportunity God gives me through His Son Jesus Christ. Let 2013 be your best year.
