`if women learned some of the
graphic stories of how some of
our sisters, mothers, daughters suffered
in silence with GYN health issues then
they would have a better understanding
as to why it's so important to support
the campaign. There is more to you, as
women, than your breasts."
"i still don't believe that millions
of women have GYN issues and very
little voice. The ripple effect on men and
families is huge. Yet there is no voice.
I guess we as women could ask the
question: why don't we have a louder
voice for research and support?"
"one million Australian Women have
endometriosis, one million suffer from
polycystic ovaries, fibroids, infertility,
menopause, STI and prolapse, the list
goes on. It's time to break down the
barriers and stigmas concerning GYN
health."
kath's latest proJect in the
fight to raise awareness about GYN
health is a cardboard cutout underpants
campaign as part of international
GYN Awareness Day - being held on
September 10, 2013. Kath has issued an
invitation via her Facebook page
for the community to post photos
of decorated cardboard undies online.
