an exhibition at london's Jewish Museum marks the
second anniversary of the singer's death and reveals an intimate
side to the self-destructive wild child who was also, in the words
of her older brother Alex, "simply a little Jewish kid from North
London with a big talent."
Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait brings together bits and pieces
from the late singer's childhood and her stage-school years to her
career heights.
Several outfits are on display from the blue dress Winehouse
wore at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival to the tracksuits she wore
at home. Although the exhibition, which runs to 15 September,
focuses on family, tracing the singer's family tree back to her
great-great-grandfather Harris Winehouse, who came to England
from Belarus in eastern Europe in 1890.
